Sall-Anne Thorley,
Background & Job Role
What led you to join Spaciotempo?
My background is working in Hospitality & Customer Service which led me to work in 4 Star hotels until I became a mum then I worked for 10 years at Uttoxeter Racecourse where I was Commerical Manager and was responsible for all Hospitality and Race Sponsorships Sales. Following this I took a different career path and worked for a Meat Wholesale Company. My role was visiting various butchers for 7 Depots in the North of England.
How long have you been with Spaciotempo, and what was your first impression of the team?
I have worked for Spaciotempo for 5 years and my first impression of the team was how friendly and welcoming everyone was.
What’s your role, and what does a typical day look like?
My role is Project Co-Ordinator and there is not a typical day in my role, every day is very different and varied which is what I like most about my role here. I can go from co-ordinating new projects to co-ordinating dismantles then selling Aftersales and re-contracting hire agreements.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The thing I enjoy most about my role is how varied the role is, every day is very different and very challenging but also very rewarding.
Work Enviroment & Team Dynamics
What’s your favourite thing about working at Spaciotempo?
I love working with a great team.
How do you collaborate with other departments?
My job involves communicating with all departments on a daily basis, so I work very closely with all departments.
What’s the most unique or interesting client requirement you’ve had so far?
I have recently won a £200k Aftersales that I have been working on for 4 years so I’m proud that this has finally been confirmed.
Personal Insight
What motivates you?
Having goals to work towards, I pride myself on how well organised I am in my role and I plan each day by prioritising what is most important.
In my previous role I was nominated for the Meat Management Women in Industry Award where I was a runner up, this was a great achievement to be nominated after only being in the industry for 18 months.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am a keen swimmer including open water swimming and I’m always signing up for charity swims to raise money for different charities.
