In this meet the team blog we are thrilled to introduce Kate Kirk, one of Spaciotempo’s newest Area Sales Managers. With over a decade of experience in the cabins and modular building industry, Kate has brought a wealth of knowledge to her role, and her passion for sales and client relationships shine through in everything she does.

Background & Job Role

What led you to join Spaciotempo?

I started my career in hospitality, where I developed a passion for sales. After a decade working in the cabins and modular building industry, I was looking for a new challenge with a similar product—and that’s when Spaciotempo came along.

How long have you been with Spaciotempo, and what was your first impression of the team?

I’ve been with the company for just 4 months, so I’m still the newbie! However, I’ve been really impressed by how experienced and supportive the team is. Everyone’s so eager to help, and it’s refreshing to see how much we want each other to succeed.

What’s your role, and what does a typical day look like?

I’m an Area Sales Manager (ASM) covering the South West of England. I work remotely, but I spend a lot of time out on site visits. My days are a mix of travel, site meetings, and handling new enquiries.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Right now, I’m really enjoying learning about the new product and understanding how Spaciotempo fits into the market.
 

Work Enviroment & Team Dynamics

What’s your favourite thing about working at Spaciotempo?

I love being proud of the product I’m selling. Throughout my career, that’s always been key for me. The quality of both the service and product here is the best on the market, and that’s something I’m excited about.

How do you collaborate with other departments?

Collaboration is essential! I wouldn’t be able to do my job without the CAD and operations teams. We work closely to make sure clients get quotes and drawings that meet their exact needs.

Projects & Clients

What’s the most unique or interesting client requirement you’ve had so far? 

The variety is what makes this job so interesting. Just this morning, I was working on a sports hall, a construction safety building, and a milking parlour!

Personal Insight

What motivates you? 

I’ve always want to be proud of what I do and to keep learning. I thrive when I’m busy. The more pressure I’m under, the better I perform—it really gives me a buzz!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? 

I love traveling, eating, and drinking…and running to balance out all the eating and drinking!

Being a remote worker gives me the flexibility to plan my own days. I prioritise my week by scheduling road days for site visits and quieter days for handling quotes and administrative work.

Looking Ahead

What excites you about Spaciotempo’s future projects? 

I’m excited about seeing some of our new products come to market. Personally, I can’t wait to see some of the buildings I’ve been involved in actually go up—since I’ve only been here 4 months, I haven’t had that satisfaction yet!

What personal goals do you have?

For now, it’s all about learning. I want to understand the product inside and out so I can provide the best possible solutions for my clients.

If you could switch roles with anyone at Spaciotempo for a day, who would it be?

I’d love to spend a day in operations. I haven’t spent much time with them yet, and I think it would be a great learning experience!
