Requirements
The Very Group needed a demountable temporary building to support their loading and unloading processes. Initially installed as an open-sided canopy, the structure needed to be upgraded with cladding on the front and rear to prevent wind and rain from affecting operations. These modifications were necessary to prepare for unpredictable weather conditions while maintaining the flexibility of a temporary solution.
The solution
The Very Group initially opted to hire a temporary canopy from Spaciotempo in June 2023 as a short-term solution for their transport and distribution needs. With Spaciotempo’s flexible pricing structure, they were able to extend their hire contract seamlessly. This adaptability made it easier for them to modify their existing structure rather than invest in a permanent build.

Enhanced Weather Protection with Cladding
As their requirements evolved, The Very Group decided to enclose the open ends of the structure to prevent wind and rain from disrupting loading operations. The modifications included a fully cladded gable end at the front, creating three new apertures for inward transport movement. At the rear, a hard gable triangle was installed, providing additional weather resistance.

Quick and Efficient Installation
Spaciotempo’s expert team carried out the modifications with minimal disruption to The Very Group’s operations. The front of the canopy was upgraded with 5m separated baseplates for structural support, followed by a framework of interconnecting beams and cladding. At the rear, specially cut dwarf uprights and diagonal brace bars were installed to reinforce the structure before adding the final cladding. The entire transformation was completed within just four days.
